DRUMMOND OF PERTH (WEATHERED) DRESS This is from the threadcountAlso known as the 'Perthshire or Drummond', 'Perthshire Rock & Wheel' or the 'Drummond of Perth'. This sett is said to be a variation of a pattern called 'Stewart of Fingask', after a plaid allegedly left by Prince Charles Edward Stuart at Fingask in Perthshire in 1746 (William Wilsons of Bannockburn' 1819 Key Pattern Book no. 78, ed. Peter MacDonald 1996). Also recorded in James Logan 'The Scottish Gael' 1831.
