Germany, Imperial. A Pair of Helmet Plates, Hesse and Württemberg Issue visually-hidden with two buttons each(Helmwappen). A pair of helmet plates, including: 1. A Hesse plate, constructed of silvered brass, the obverse consisting of a Hesse lion rampant wielding a sword, situated within a wreath of laurel and oak leaves, the reverse with two threaded screwposts, one retaining an original nut, unmarked, measuring 13 cm (w) x 10 cm (h), in extremely fine condition. 2. A Wrttemberg Reserve plate, constructed of gilded brass, the obverse bearing a central
