Vintage Framed Claudian Aqueduct Print midcentury chair This stool is made ofFramed half oval print depicting the Aqua Claudia, or "the Claudian water". This Roman acqeduct was begun by Emperor Caligula in 38 AD and finished by Emperor Claudius in 52 AD, hence the name. The particular print artist is unknown, but it is similar to many other pieces created during the 18th and 19th centuries by artists such as Carl Theodor Reiffenstein, Franz Knebel, and John Linton Chapman. Exhibits minor signs of wear including small scuffs.
