Mid Victorian Lobster Armour Intaglio Signet Ring navette It's an antique elongated cushionDATE: Victorian, c. 1870 An exceptional mid Victorian signet ring with lobster armour band and cushion shaped face complete with a heraldic intaglio seal. The Latin motto NON SINE CAUSA meaning "not without reason" adorns a ribbon above an extended arm holding a sword, and a shield with three boar's heads and a single crescent moon. The intaglio is reverse carved allowing for the creation of a wax imprint, and the ring is crafted in solid 18 karat
