These early goggles were likely used during free mason meetings or rituals. Often referred to as hoodwinks these goggles are made of leather with metal eye pieces. The interior of these goggles are lined in red velvet. These goggles are spring loaded and can be flipped upward by turning either of the two decorative cone shaped metal pieces located on either side of the eyes. JM 011223
